The article was devoted to the issues of crisis management, with particular emphasis on local, county structures in the crisis management system in Poland. The authors thoroughly discussed the tasks of the foreman and the teams he created. However, they devoted the most space to crisis management centers, as entities responsible above all for the proper flow of information both at the stage of preventing possible crises and during a crisis situation, when the transmission of up-to-date, reliable and verified information not only facilitates the coordination of activities, but may have even crucial significance when trying to control a crisis situation.
