Submit a Manuscript

Manuscripts submitted to “Systemy Logistyczne Wojsk” / “Military Logistics Systems” (SLW) must be submitted exclusively through the electronic editorial system.
"Submit a Manuscript in the Editorial System"

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should read the journal’s aims and scope, author guidelines, publication ethics, publication originality procedure, peer review rules, publication fees, and copyright and licensing policy.

Before Submission
Before submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author should make sure that:
• the manuscript fits the aims and scope of SLW and provides a clear contribution to logistics, logistics systems, supply chains, readiness, resilience, transport, supply, maintenance, infrastructure, data or logistics management;
• the work is original, has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal, monograph, edited volume or any other publication venue;
• all co-authors have approved the manuscript and agreed to its submission to SLW;
• the order of authors has been agreed and the corresponding author has been identified;
• information on individual author contributions has been prepared;
• statements on conflicts of interest, funding, research data availability and the use of generative AI tools have been prepared, where applicable;
• all necessary rights, permissions or licences for third-party materials have been obtained;
• the manuscript has been prepared in accordance with the current editorial guidelines and article template;
• the authors have read the rules on publication fees and possible waivers.

Documents and Information Required at Submission
When submitting a manuscript, authors should prepare in particular:
• the manuscript file prepared in accordance with the current SLW template;
• article title;
• abstract;
• keywords;
• details of all authors, including affiliations, email addresses and, where applicable, ORCID identifiers;
• corresponding author details;
• statement of originality and no simultaneous submission;
• author contribution statement;
• conflict of interest statement or a statement that no conflicts exist;
• funding statement or a statement that no external funding was received;
• data availability statement;
• information on the use of generative AI tools, where applicable;
• information on ethical, legal or institutional approvals, where required;
• information on rights to third-party materials, where used.

Submission Rules
Manuscripts may be submitted throughout the year. Submission of a manuscript before the planned publication date of a given issue does not guarantee publication in that issue. Assignment of an article to a specific issue depends on the completion of the full editorial procedure, originality check, peer review, author revisions, acceptance for publication and production process.
Assignment of a submission number in the system confirms only the technical registration of the manuscript. It does not mean acceptance for publication or referral to peer review.
The Editorial Office may reject a manuscript during initial editorial screening if the manuscript is out of scope or does not meet minimum scholarly, language, ethical or editorial standards.
As a rule, SLW processes no more than one active manuscript submitted by the same corresponding author or first author at a time. A further submission may be returned or rejected on administrative grounds if an earlier manuscript remains under editorial, peer review, revision or production processing.
The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the Editorial Office on behalf of all co-authors. Failure to respond to Editorial Office requests within the specified deadline may result in closure of the submission or administrative rejection of the manuscript.

After Submission
After submission, the Editorial Office conducts an initial editorial screening, which may result in:
• return of the manuscript to the author for completion or correction before further processing;
• rejection without peer review;
• referral of the manuscript to originality checking and further peer review.
A detailed description of the assessment, peer review and editorial decision process is available in the “Peer Review and Editorial Decisions” section.
