ABSTRACT
The problem of using mobile phones by drivers is a problem that has been considered since the 80s of the last century. The current development of technology has meant that mobile phones are not only used for calling and texting, but it is the mobile phone that organizes our daily lifestyle. More and more people cannot imagine life without mobile phones. Colloquially speaking, nowadays you can find the right application for every human problem. Unfortunately, using a mobile phone while driving a vehicle carries a high risk of losing concentration, which may be the reason for a road accident or collision. Although the use of mobile phones while driving is illegal in most countries around the world, many people still use their phones while driving. The main purpose of the article is to analyze the behavior of drivers in terms of the frequency of using a mobile phone while driving. The conducted surveys show that over 30% of respondents admit to using a mobile phone while driving. When using a mobile phone, the driver is distracted by shifting their gaze to the mobile phone screen, reducing caution and contributing to more frequent driver errors. Undoubtedly, such activities contribute to reducing the driver's attention, which may result in a road accident.
