ABSTRACT
This article presents the concept of a new type of armed clash, which is the multi-domain battle. The considerations focused on future military operations in which battles will be conducted in many spheres. The simultaneous use of kinetic force and non-kinetic force is currently being explored in five dimensions of space: land, sea, air, space and cybernetic. Multi-Domain Task Force will have advanced weapons, equipment and the capabilities to ensure a superiority over an enemy seeking to confront the United States. Historical experience confirms that logistics determines the achievement of victory in warfare, therefore it is necessary to analyze the issues of multi-domain battle from the point of view of the possibility to meet the needs of troops involved in the new model of armed clash. For this purpose, the identification of multi-domain logistics was made and a definition of the concept was proposed. The conditions for the functioning of logistics system in a multi-domain battle were characterized and attention was paid to the role of transport in supplies. A new variant of the organization of delivery to highly mobile subunits operating far away from the main forces was presented. Thanks to the use of unmanned aerial transport vehicles of the support company, it will be possible to independently meet the material needs of the subunits of brigade in the area of multi-domain operation. Moving some of the supplies to this dimension of space will require the implementation of new types of unmanned aerial vehicles to the land forces and the creation of procedures for their proper use in order to fully exploit their capabilities in a diverse operational environment. Current tests of prototypes are so advanced that in a few years supply deliveries by unmanned aerial vehicles to subunits will become a routine tactical logistics undertaking, similar to the current delivery of combat assets and material by truck columns.
