Procedure securing the originality of the publication

In accordance with the standards set for scientific journals by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the editorial office asks the Authors to disclose information about entities contributing to the publication (substantive, material, financial contribution, etc.). Authors of studies should present the results of their work in a transparent and reliable manner, regardless of whether they are its direct authors or they have used the help of a specialized entity (natural or legal person).

The editors of the Wojsk Logistics Systems journal implements a system of counteracting scientific misconduct such as " ghostwriting " and " guest authorship ".

  • ghostwriting is defined as when someone made a significant contribution to the publication without disclosing his participation as one of the authors or without mentioning his role in acknowledgments in the publication.
  • Z guest authorship (honorary authorship) - if the author's contribution is negligible or not at all, and yet he is the author / co-author of the publication.

To counteract ghostwriting , guest authorship editors of the SLW journal introduce the following procedures:
  1. Editors require publication authors to disclose the contribution of individual authors to the publication (including their affiliation and contribution, i.e. who is the author of the concept, assumptions, methods, protocol, etc. used in the preparation of the publication), with the main responsibility being author submitting the manuscript.
  2. Editors may require information about publication funding sources, contributions from research institutions, associations and other entities.
Ghostwriting , guest authorship are a manifestation of scientific misconduct, and any detected cases will be unmasked, including notification of relevant entities (institutions employing authors, scientific societies, scientific editors' associations) ch etc.). The editorial office documents all manifestations of scientific misconduct, especially breaking and violating the rules of ethics in force in science.
