ABSTRACT
The presented study touches upon the issue connected with the transport of air cargo. The aim of the article is showing the possibilities of increasing the use of cargo area of cargo planes thanks to proper choice of ULD (Unit Load Devices). In the development of particular elements of the considered issue the following methods have been used: deduction, the analysis of documents, mathematical methods and descriptive modelling. In the first part of the article the author presents the characteristics of ULD, in the second part the influence of choice of ULD on the use of cargo area of cargo planes has been presented.
